India's swashbuckling batsman and Delhi Daredevils captain Virender Sehwag is happy with the squad he has got for the fifth season of soon-to-commence Indian Premier League (IPL) and believes his team's first goal is to make it to the play-off stage. Sehwag said this, while launching the Hindi edition of the Daredevils' website.

Sehwag, who missed to become part of Asia Cup team due to fitness issues said confidently that he will be fully fit before the IPL and will resume batting practice soon.

On the occasion of launching the Hindi edition of the Daredevils' website he said "Hopefully, I will be fine and will start working on my batting. Our first aim is to qualify for the play-offs first and for that first two or three matches will be very important. We will be without England allrounder Keven Pietersen, Sri Lanka's skipper Mahela Jayawardene and Australia's David Warner for the couple of games and that will test our bench strength."

He also talked about his team compositions and said that Daredevils, with a strong batting and pace bowling line up, the Daredevils have the capability to do well in the fifth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). He said that with some of the world class player to his side his team is able to fulfill the expectations of their fans.

He asserted that IPL is a great platform for youngsters and this is a perfect platform for them to knock on the BCCI's door to secure a place in national team.

Commenting upon the Delhi Daredevils' initiative to launch an official Website on Delhi Daredevils, Virender said, "I am very happy that the Delhi Daredevils now has a Hindi website. I remember that when I started playing cricket, I had problems reading and speaking in English."

"It will allow us to connect with more cricket lovers from different walks of society who are not familiar with English. These fans will now find it easy to read interesting content in Hindi, share it with their friends and send us message too," he added.
