Garcia's dad says son would knockout Khan again if rematch happens
London, Dec 17(ANI): The WBC and WBA light-welterweight champion Danny Garcia would knockout former champ Amir Khan once again if a rematch between them happens, according to Garcia's father, Angel.
Khan called out Garcia in the ring after his 10-round TKO of Carlos Molina and is desperate to avenge his fourth-round stoppage.
The two Garcias were ringside on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, and Angel claims his son would beat him again because trainer Virgil Hunter can do nothing about his suspect chin.
"You can't train a chin. You can chew a lot of gum and that will help the muscles in your jaw, but the thing is, he ain't going to beat Danny," the Daily Mirror quoted Angel, as saying.
"If Danny fought Khan again, he's going to beat him. People say that punch by Danny was lucky, but we practised that shot in the gym. We knew Khan jumps in with his chin straight up in the air and the left hook is the counter for that," he added.
Khan claimed immediately after stopping Molina he would fight Garcia any time, any place, anywhere, but a rematch will not happen before November.
Garcia defends his titles against Zab Judah on February 9, which means he cannot face Khan when he fights next on April 13 in LA's Staples Center.
Khan is then getting married in May in New York before observing Ramadan in June and will only fight once more in 2013 in November. (ANI)
