Kate would have loved to attend 'The Hobbit' premiere, says Prince William
London, Dec. 13 (ANI): Prince William, who cut a rather lonely figure at the premiere of 'The Hobbit' in London, admitted that his wife Duchess Kate would have loved to attend the event.
The 30-year-old royal arrived on his own, as a guest of honour at the UK premiere, after his pregnant wife was forced to pull out because of her severe morning sickness, the Daily Mail reported.
On his arrival at 6.45pm he was met by the cinema's general manager Tessa Street on the 'green carpet.'
The prince also chatted to the film's director Sir Peter Jackson and stars including Sir Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Elijah Wood and Cate Blanchett.
He joked with Blanchett, "When I go to Australia I'm always winding up the Kiwis and vice versa, you always get a reaction." (ANI)
