Two robbers who gave Mumbai cops a slip, held

New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) Two robbery accused, who had escaped from Mumbai police custody at a Delhi court, were arrested here Thursday, police said.

"Sumit Narula, 25, and Gurcharan Singh, 36, both residents of Burari, had escaped from Mumbai police custody while they were brought to Delhi for a hearing at Tis Hazari courts Tuesday," said Deputy Commissioner of Police P. Karunakaran.

Narula and Singh were arrested Thursday from Jahangirpuri area in north Delhi.

The two were arrested in Mumbai in 2010 for involvement in over 25 robberies in Mumbai, Delhi and cities in Haryana, said the official.
