New Delhi, Dec. 6 (ANI): After assessing security and other arrangements at Delhi's Ferozeshah Kotla cricket stadium, officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board and a security team accompanying them has approved the facilities for the one-day cricket match to be

played with India later this month.

The delegation led by Nadeem Sarwar, PCB spokesperson, met Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) officials and discussed security and other arrangements for the keenly awaited encounter.

Sarwar said: "They (DDCA) have been hosting the series. The venue people, hotel ones and the security people they know their job. So I don't think there is any problem."

The PCB spokesperson said a record number of people were likely to come from across the border to watch the matches.

"We are expecting some VIPs, who would be coming to watch the matches and spectators in a number, probably which has not been happening before. So we have been discussing with the security people, with the venue people and all the associations how to manage those," added Sarwar.

Apart from Sarwar, the other key members of this delegation are Ehsan Sadiq, Director, Security and Vigilance, PCB and Usman Walha, Manager, International Cricket Operations.

Pakistan's cricket team will arrive in India on December 22 and will lock horns in the first T20 international in Bangalore on December 25.

Both the teams will play a second T20 match in Ahmedabad before taking part in three one-day internationals in Chennai, Kolkata and Delhi, the BCCI said in a statement.

Bilateral cricket between both the countries were suspended after the 26/11 terror-strike in Mumbai for years ago in which 166 people were killed.

Though, Pakistan played the semi final match of the World Cup tournament at Mohali last year, the last regular series between the two sides was Pakistan's tour of India in 2007. (ANI)
