London, Dec 6(ANI): Kimi Raikkonen reckons he will be in with a shout of winning the world championship next year as long as Lotus give him a quick car.
The 2007 champ mounted an impressive comeback season in Formula One after two years of rallying.
The Finn won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, scooped seven podium results and finished third in the title race behind Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso.
"It has been OK but when you start getting good results you want to do even better. You start expecting yourself to do better. I know the team now, I know the business, so it should be an easier start for us in 2013," the Sun quoted Raikkonen, as saying.
"First, though, you have to build the car," he added.
Raikkonen added: "This team is a bit different from the others I have raced for in the past. It is all about the racing and less about the politics, and it is a good place to be." (ANI)
