UGC NET Dec 2012 notification has been released. the examination for UGC NET is scheduled to be held on 30th December 2012 at the various centers across the country.
The last date of submitting online applications is 16th November 2012.
The candidates can apply for attaining eligibility for lectureship or Junior Research Fellowship or both.
The UGC NET will be conducted in 78 subjects at the 77 coordinating universities authorized by University Grants Commission.
Eligibility for UGC NET
Candidates with 55 % marks in master degree or Equivalent. The minimum marks required for SC/ST and PWD (Persons with disability) is 50%.
The candidates are advised to apply in their subject of post-graduation or related subject if their subject is not covered.
Age Limit for NET JRF:
For JRF the age should not be more than 28 years as on 01.12.2012 with relaxation as per rules. There is no upper age limit for lecturership.
UGC NET examination fee:
The exam fee for UGC NET is Rs. 450 for general, Rs. 220 for OBC and Rs. 110 for SC/ST/PWD.
