Suicide car bomb kills 3, wounds 40 Afghans

Kabul, Nov. 23 (Xinhua-ANI): A suicide car bomb rocked Maidan Shahr, the capital of Wardak province 35 km west of Kabul, killing three people including the bomber and injuring 40 people mostly civilians on Friday, provincial police chief Baqizoi said.

"The suicide attacker riding an explosive-laden laden vehicle and detonated it next to a police center leaving three people including himself dead and injuring 40 others including some police and several civilians,"Baqizoi told Xinhua.

He added that investigation is underway to find those behind the deadly bombing.

Meantime, Zabihullah Mujahid who speaks for the Taliban outfit in talks with media via telephone from unknown location claimed responsibility, saying a Taliban fighter carried out the suicide attack, killing dozens of Afghan and foreign soldiers. (Xinhua-ANI)
