New Delhi, Nov 23 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee Friday addressed the nation ahead of Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom day Saturday.
"Guru Tegh Bahadur's martyrdom day is a solemn occasion to remember the glory of his sacrifice. Guru Tegh Bahadur was a selfless, courageous leader who taught all of us to seek strength from truth, worship and knowledge," the president said about the ninth Sikh Guru.
"This should be a day of contemplation ? of considering the importance of selfless service, and the strength to stand for what is right. Let us draw inspiration from the teachings of the great Guru and strive to be worthy of his noble legacy," President Mukherjee said.
