As it was pre determined, the first day of the winter session of Parliament started on a disruptive note on Thursday when both the houses were being adjourned initially till 12 noons and again for 2 p.m. Now it has been adjourned for 2 pm, as government and opposition both are not ready to leave its stance.
In the morning as the Los Sabha started in morning, Opposition and other parties stormed the parliament raising the FDI issues in Retail sector.
Opposition parties were demanding to discuss the matter under Rule 184.
In the Lok Sabha,, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) members rushed towards Speaker Meira Kumar's podium protesting the law and order in Uttar Pradesh. The Samajwadi Party in turn demanded the rollback of the LPG price hike.
However it was decided that the winter session will be so hot as opposition has already indicated their intention for the same.
Meanwhile Congress has also indicated that it is all set to left no stone unturned for the successful presenting its side on FDI.
According to sources, Trinamool Congress has moved no confidence motion against UPA government but Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar rejected the same.
Speaker Kumar rejected the motion soon after the Lok Sabha reconvened after noon.
