Sydney, Nov. 21 (ANI): An American college basketballer has scored an incredible 138 points in a single game, smashing a record that had lasted for 58 years.
Jack Taylor, playing for Iowa's Grinnell College against Faith Baptist college, pulled off the amazing feat in just 35 minutes.
The energetic Taylor, who played for Grinell, took 108 shots and nailed 52 from the field and 27 of 71 from three-point range as well as seven out of 10 free throws, the Herald Sun reports.
"It felt like anything I tossed up was going in. Maybe my cold shooting from the weekend was affecting me," Taylor said.
According to the paper, Taylor only made his debut for Grinnell at the weekend after transferring from another college.
The previous NCAA record was set by Clarence "Bevo" Francis in 1954 when he scored 113 points playing for Rio Grande, the paper said. (ANI)
