Starc ready to rock with red ball bolts in Adelaide Test

Sydney, Nov 17(ANI): Young Australia quick Mitchell Starc has said he is fit and ready to play in the second Test match against South Africa at Adelaide despite less exposure to the red ball of late.

Starc has bowled half the amount of red balls that have been sent down by Ben Hilfenhaus (525), the man he is widely regarded to replace in Adelaide, and much less than Peter Siddle (960) and James Pattinson (1074).

"But I'll be fine, the body is feeling good and the number of overs isn't going to faze me," News.com.au quoted Starc, as saying.

"It's about getting the ball in the right areas and doing the right things. I've had a couple of weeks in Shield cricket, and I've just changed a few little things, the plans and execution and being a little more patient," he added.

"In the game in Brisbane I got stuck trying to swing the ball, opposed to being patient and hitting the wicket," he said.

Starc, who has played four Tests for Australia and 12th man at The Gabba, said being a left-armer would work in his favour, and being the tallest of the quicks meant he could offer a bit more bounce. (ANI)
