Pak SC withdraws contempt notice against PM Ashraf in Swiss letter case

Islamabad, Nov. 14 (ANI): The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case and has withdrawn the contempt notice against Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.

During the hearing Federal Law Minister Farooq H. Naek requested the court to dismiss the case and said that the letter, written by the Attorney General of Pakistan and sent via diplomatic channel, had been received by Swiss attorney general, reports The Dawn.

Naek said that the court's decision was victory for justice and democracy adding that the government implemented every directive of the supreme court.

Moreover, he said that the letter was not written forcibly rather in accordance of Supreme Court directive. (ANI)
