London, Nov 2 (ANI): Football legend Robbie Savage sent the rumour mills spinning after he was spotted strolling down a street at 2.40 in the morning with undies tycoon Michelle Mone.

The pair teamed up after a boozy night at a star-studded awards bash in a London hotel.

They were later seen slipping into Mone's nearby home and spent nearly 3 and a half hours there, before married BBC star Savage emerged at 6.05am, the Sun reported.

The former Blackburn ace, who has two sons with wife Sarah, sat apart from the 40-year-old Ultimo founder at the Pride of Britain awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday.

But guests said they seemed drawn towards each other and grew "increasingly tactile" as the evening wore on.

Mione, who recently split with hubby Michael, was said to have left the bash alone at 2.30am, looking "unsteady on her feet."

Savage, 38, joined her in the street and they walked chatting to Mone's Mayfair pad, arriving minutes later.

"They went in together and I saw them at the window of the first-floor flat before Michelle closed the front room curtains," a source said.

"Minutes later the lights went out.

Savage left the flat later wearing the clothes he arrived in.

He has shared a flirty relationship with Mone, who has an OBE, on social media in recent months.

However she took to her Twitter account to clear any doubts raised by the football pundit staying back at her house.

"I was not alone in the flat with Robbie," she wrote.

"I am friends with Robbie and his PA Trisha, who lives in Nottingham and was staying with me that night.

"Robbie is a good guy and my friend, but just not my type," she added.

Even his spokesman Paul Mace defended Savage on the allegations.

"He spent a very enjoyable evening at the awards," he said.

"He walked back with Michelle to meet up with his PA who was at Michelle's apartment.

"He stayed less than an hour before catching a taxi to his hotel," he said. (ANI)
