New Delhi, Oct.31 (ANI): Delhi Transport Minister Ramakant Goswami today reviewed the issues related to purchase of new auto rickshaws in the capital city.
He underlined the need of addition of more and more auto rickshaws, keeping in view the enhanced number of passengers. He instructed the Department to ensure that all auto rickshaws dealers submit their daily report on booking, sales and stock position on regular basis.
The department has been assured by the dealers that the reports are being compiled though could not be dispatched due to few difficulties at ground level.
The dealers have assured that they will be submitting the reports from the next working on regular basis. Shri Goswami stated that this will help in removing all obstacles coming in the way of purchase of new auto rickshaws.
It was stated that 1000 new auto rickshaws has been registered which have no become available to cater the needs of increasing passengers.
Goswami told in plain words that the non-compliance of would be taken seriously and strict action will be taken against those auto dealers avoiding submission of daily reports.
The department has been asked to take an urgent action on receipt of any complaint regarding difficulties in purchase of new auto rickshaws.
It is in the best interest of the dealers that they help the purchasers, keeping in view the overall interest of Delhi. (ANI)
