President Mukherjee on Kerala visit

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 29 (IANS) President Pranab Mukherjee is on his first visit to Kerala since after he assumed the highest office in the country. He arrived here Monday.
On arrival he watched a cultural programme that included a Mohiniyattam and a Kathakali dance performance at Raj Bhavan here.
President Mukherjee will attend a banquet hosted by the state government in his honour at 8 p.m. Monday.
On Tuesday, the president will be presented a ceremonial guard of honour by a contingent of the Indian Air Force.
Then he will inaugurate the Viswa Malayalee Mahotsav and flag off the 9th Jan Vigyan Yatra organised by P.N. Panicker Vigyan Vikas Kendra.
The president will address the Kerala assembly 4 p.m. Tuesday and attend the golden jubilee celebrations of Loyola College of Social Sciences.
