Parliamentary Secretary to the CM, CLP Spokesperson Mukesh Sharma has stated that the city government has chalked out a comprehensive and an ambitious plan to lay sewer lines in almost all unauthorized colonies in Delhi in order to ensure a clean atmosphere for the 40 lakh residents awaiting comfortable and healthy life.
As per the plan an amount of Rs 230Cr has been sanctioned for laying well planned sewer lines in Bindapaur-Mohan Garden group of colonies under Uttam Nagar Assembly segment. Sharma added that the work would be taken up on war footing to complete it at the earliest.
Sharma stated this in a workers convention at Aryasamaj Road, Uttam Nagar the sewer lines would also be laid in the nearby Sainik Vihar, Maharani Enclave and Rajan Vihar.
He further stated that the sewer lines would be connected with trunk sewer lines at Dwarka and further with an interceptor. Sharma stated that the Bindapur and Mohan Garden group of over 100 colonies are set to see all round development as two community centers costing Rs 5 cr in all , would have many storeys, lifts and spacious halls for the social gatherings and marriage functions.
He criticized BJP ruled MCDs for politicizing the issue of finalization of lay out plans of unauthorized colonies. He further stated that BJP is committed to derail the process of regularization of colonies as this would benefit only the poor and middle class families and not the capitalists.
