Bhubaneswar, Oct 25 (IANS) At least one person was injured Thursday in a fire in a power station of an upcoming steel plant in Odisha, police said.
The fire broke out in the Essar Steel plant in the port town of Paradip in Jagatsinghpur district, Superintendent of Police Satyabrata Bhoi told IANS.
Essar Steel is building a 12 million tonne per annum steel pallet plant. Seven fire tenders battled the blaze while equipment worth lakhs of rupees was damaged, Bhoi said.
