Gaya (Bihar), Oct. 23 (ANI): Police in Bihar's Gaya District recently raided a village of dacoits to stop them from committing heinous crimes on a frequent basis.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Shadiyul Hak said the thieves were professionals and had stolen goods, including gold and silver, from around 12 places in the past two months.

He added that they had robbed six places in the past ten days.

"They don't sleep at nights and they run away every time. That is why we raided during the day," said Haq.

The village consists of around 25 houses and each is known to have indulged in criminal activities.

A relative of a dacoit, Puja Kumari, said she could not reveal the secrets of people.

During their raid, police recovered a huge cache of valuables, including four kilograms of silver, 25 grams of gold, television sets, bicycles, one pistol and cash. (ANI)
