BJP youth wing completes its martyrs' tribute rally

Tezpur, Oct 23 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has completed its several hundred kilometres-long "Shahid Shradhanjali Yatra" (Martyrs' Tribute Rally) to India-China border in Arunachal Pradesh, paying homage to the martyrs of the historic Sino-Indian War and pressing on the international border security.

BJP's youth wing Chief Anurag Thakur spearheaded the rally and addressed supporters in Tezpur town of Assam on Monday.

BJP Chief Nitin Gadkari flagged off the rally on Thursday (October 18) from Guwahati, the main city in northeastern Assam state.

The rally was organised to commemorate 50 years of Chinese aggression 1962, in Arunachal Pradesh.

On reaching Tawang district in Arunachal Pradesh, BJP leaders paid tributes to the martyrs

BJP legislator Nitin Navin appealed the Indian youth to visit the borders and pay respect to the soldiers who live in difficult circumstances to protect the borders.

"After reaching the border, we are paying tributes to our martyrs and we are also saluting this motherland, who has sacrificed her sons for the safety and security of the rest of the country. At the same time, I also appeal to the youth of the country from this border that they must come and the visit the border once in their lives, when they will come here they will see the inhuman conditions in which our soldiers are living, for our safety," he said.

Another BJP legislator Pramod Sawant echoed similar views.

"We have organised this rally to commemorate our martyrs on the order. My message to the youth of the country is to come and pay tributes to those who died for our country and for our safe lives," Sawant said.

Later on the BJP leaders also paid tribute at the Indo-China War memorial. (ANI)
