Kejriwal postponed the announcement of his party's name but clarifies his party's vision

After dissolution of Team Anna, Arvind Kejriwal, the Right to Information (RTI) activist and India against Corruption (IAC) member, Tuesday announced that the name of his party would be declared on 26th November as this day is the constitution day of India.

Kejriwal who was set to announced the name of his party at Constitutional Club in New Delhi said that they (Team Kejriwal) was set to announce the name of their party on 2nd October 2012 but due to some technical reasons, they could not announce it.

However, Kejriwal and his key aid Manish Sisodia informed the vision, working criteria and agenda of their party, which is still not registered.

"There are several formalities need to be fulfill for registering the name of any political party, which some parts still has not been completed and we didn't want that when we will go for registering the name of our party, we will not find our desired name," Kejriwal said while giving the reason of postpone.

"We will announce it on 26th November meeting when we will get the name on paper," he added.

However, he described the vision, working criteria and agenda of their party on the dais.

"Direct rule of the people, fighting corruption and eliminating price rise" will be the prime focus of the political party, said Arvind Kejriwal on the birth anniversary of ‘Father of the nation' Mahatma Gandhi.

"Citizens must be consulted on any decision that affects their livelihood. Broad ranging and fundamental administrative, police and judicial reforms need to be initiated so that the interface of common citizen with public functionaries is not marked by bribes, delay and indignity," said the document.

"All public functionaries should be made accountable to people. Private monopoly on natural resources would not be allowed," it said.

Kejriwal who was wearing an Gandhian cap on which "Main Aam Admi Hun" and "Mujhe Chahiye Jan Lokpal" printed on it said, "I have worn this cap because I can remember every time that I am too a common person not a VIP and I pledge you to wear every time since today."

Speaking on party's Lok Pal bill, he said that his party's lokpal bill would come within 10 days of declaring the name of the party.

Announcing the future course of action, Arvind said that they would convene a press conference on 06th October at 3:00 p.m. in which they would expose two eminent and powerful politicians on this day.

They have the proof regarding their involvement in corruption, which Team Kejriwal would unveil on 06th October 2012.

Targeting to Sheila Dikshit, Arvind said that the members of IAC would gather on the house of Chief Minister of Sheila Dikshit on 03rd November 2012 if she does not announce to roll back the price hike in power tariff.

He appealed to Delhi government to conduct an audit of power supplying companies of Delhi and on the recommendation of auditing company, government should decided the tariff charges.

He announced that on 7th October IAC members would burn electricity bills in 114 wards of 62 assemblies and circled the power companies offices on 08th October.

"Our agitation will continue until power tariffs were not reduced," he said.

Shanti Bhushan, Prashant Bhushan, and Manish Sisodia were the other key members present.
