Did Meera Jasmine vanish from location? (Malayalam Movie Snippets)

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 17 (IANS) Southern actress Meera Jasmine left the makers of her new Malayalam film "Lisammayude Veedu" in the soup after she reportedly went abroad without informing anyone, halting the film shoot.

And even after coming back, she did not return to the location nor did she get in touch with the film's director Babu Janardhanan.

It is being said that she was upset with the makers over her remuneration. Meera is yet to shoot some scenes and dub for the film.

The film was scheduled for an Onam release.

Dulquer-Aparna in Martin Prakatt's next movie

Actors Dulquer Salmaan and Aparna Gopinath have been roped in to play the lead pair in Martin Prakatt's "American Born Confused Desi" (ABCD).

The screenplay of the film is written by Sooraj-Neeraj and Gopi Sunder will compose the music for it.

Shibu Thameens is producing the movie that also features Jacob Gregory, who was seen in comedy show "Akkara Kazhchakal" in a prominent role.

Ashiq Abu, Anwar Rasheed to get Mohan Raghavan Award

Malayalam directors Ashiq Abu and Anwar Rasheed will be honoured with the Mohan Raghavan Award for their films "22 Female Kottayam" and "Usthad Hotel", respectively.

The award includes a cash prize of Rs.25,000, a citation and a statuette.

John Paul, head of the jury, announced the award in a press meet at Kochi Tuesday. Both the directors will receive the award from Ganesh Kumar, former actor and currently Minister for Forests & Environment, Sports and Cinema in Kerala government.

The ceremony will be held Oct 28 in Mohan Raghavan's native place Annamanada in Thrissur.
