London, October 14 (ANI): Cheryl Cole, who had a brief friendship with Victoria Beckham during the 2006 World Cup after they bonded over being pop stars married to footballers, has revealed that Posh had hardened herself to scrutiny over her weight and was pleased with her skinny frame.
Despite the two women failing to upkeep their acquaintance in subsequent years, Cole still has fond memories of their time together and has mentioned their time together in her autobiography 'My Story'.
The two spent several days together hanging out in Baden Baden, Germany, where they separated themselves from the other WAGs, which includes Coleen Rooney, Elen Rivas, Toni Terry and Carly Cole.
At the time, Cheryl was engaged to Ashley Cole, while Victoria was married and had three sons with England captain David Beckham.
"When they say, I'm too thin, I just think: 'You know what? I'm happy to be thin. I'm into fashion and I like being able to wear whatever I like. It's my business, and if other people don't like it, that's their business'," the Daily Mail quoted Posh as telling Cheryl when asked Girl about her weight.
She also told the 29-year-old how she had hardened herself to the media attention surrounding her and David.
"How do I cope? I cope because I have to, because it's the way my life is," she said.
"I'm hardened to it. I know how I'm perceived is not how I am, and that's what matters," she added. (ANI)
