Kolkata, Sept. 30 (Xinhua-ANI): Seven persons died and 50 were critically injured in an accident when a tourist bus overturned in West Bengal on Sunday.
The accident occurred at Gurap in Hooghly district of West Bengal, 80 km from the state capital.
All the 50 critically injured people have been admitted to the Burdwan Medical College. The death toll is likely to go up.
Surviving passengers, according to a local television channel, alleged, the bus driver had fallen asleep while driving. Road conditions in the state are in bad shape and in recent times many accidents have taken place. (Xinhua-ANI)
