Two minor children found murdered in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 26 (IANS) Two siblings aged five and three, were found murdered here Wednesday, a day after they went missing from near their residence, police said. Their bodies were recovered from the forest of east Delhi's Usmanpur.

"Arman, 5, and his sister Ujma, 3, reportedly went missing Tuesday afternoon from a street nearby their house," said a police officer.

"Initial investigation revealed that their throats were slashed with a sharp object. Some other injury marks were found on their mouth, stomach and other parts of body. It seems that the attacker tried to rape the girl child," said the officer.

Police said that the victims, resident of east Delhi's Khajuri Khas, are survived by their parents Akram, a contractor, and mother Naseema Begum.

"On Tuesday around 3.30 p.m. both the siblings were seen playing in the street near their residence. Their parents registered their missing complaint late Tuesday night," said the officer.
