Sydney, Sep 12(ANI): British tennis ace Andy Murray finally won his maiden Grand Slam title by winning the US Open, and now it has been revealed that the secret behind his conquest was a quite mirror talk in the toilet before the deciding set of his final against Novak Djokovic.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, around 8 p.m. on Monday night, Murray made one of the more momentous bathroom visits in sporting history.

Murray gawked in the mirror and had a quiet chat with himself, and it must have been unexpectedly Churchillian, because he came out and produced 51 minutes' worth of genius.

Even, Djokovic, the iron man of tennis, could not cope with the sudden vigor of Murray's stroke play.

At 9.04 p.m. on Monday, Djokovic missed a service return and the 76-year wait for a British Grand Slam winner was over.

The fact that no one had delivered since 1936 shows what a challenge it is to win one of these things, to be the only survivor from a field of 128 hardened professionals. (ANI)
