Sunny morning in Delhi, rain likely

New Delhi, Sep 5 (IANS) It was a sunny yet breezy morning in the capital Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling at 26.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The met department has forecast light rainfall later in the day.

"Sky would be generally cloudy towards afternoon. Thunder development or light rainfall is likely in some areas of the city," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.

Maximum and minimum temperatures will stay around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius, the official added.

Rainfall recorded since Tuesday has been 2.8 mm.

Humidity at 8.30 a.m. stood at 78 percent.

Maximum temperature recorded Tuesday was 32.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average.
