Jewish student's jaw broken and mouth 'stapled' in anti-Semitic attack by Neo-Nazi in US

Washington, Aug 29 (ANI): A 19-year-old Michigan college student has claimed that his jaw was broken and his mouth was stapled shut in a vicious beating that allegedly started because he is Jewish.

Zach Tennen, a sophomore at Michigan State University, said he was at an off-campus party in East Lansing when he was approached by two males who asked if he was Jewish.

He said that they then raised their arms in a Nazi salute and yelled "Heil Hitler."

"They said they were part of the KKK," the New York Daily News quoted Tennen, as saying.

Tennen, who was knocked unconscious, said that his mouth was stapled shut, took a taxi to a nearby hospital, after gaining consciousness.

The East Lansing Police Department claimed that it had identified one possible suspect.

"Two witnesses said they saw the victim having an argument with two other males in the front yard and one punched him (Tennen) in the face. There was nothing about anti-Semitic statements or about his face being stapled," a police official said.

Tennen, who claims to have suffered a broken jaw "right below my bottom teeth, in the middle", had surgery on his jaw and is currently recovering in his parent's suburban Detroit home, the report said.

Police are still investigating the incident. (ANI)
