London, Aug 29(ANI): Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov, who has fallen down the ranks at the club following the signing of Robin Van Persie this season, is set to leave Old Trafford for Italian club Fiorentina.
The emergence of Danny Welbeck as Wayne Rooney's main strike partner last season meant Berbatov had to contend with a place on the bench for majority of the season.
Berbatov has constantly expressed desire to leave United in pursuit of regular football, but was left frustrated as no club had managed to strike a final agreement over his transfer throughout the summer window.
But, Fiorentina is hopeful of completing 4.5 million pound move for the former Bulgarian international.
"His future will be decided over the next few days," The Daily Mail quoted Berbatov's agent Emil Dantchev, as saying.
Meanwhile, Molde boss and former United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to take striker Josh King on loan to the Norwegian champions. (ANI)
