De Jong says City needs to 'kick out' bad habit of falling behind

London, Aug 28 (ANI): Manchester City midfielder Nigel De Jong has said they must stop conceding goals to fall behind during matches, as they did in their first two games against Southampton and Liverpool.
City also conceded two goals in the dramatic last season's finale against QPR, only to win the game and the Premier League in the dying seconds.
The worrying trend has continued this term against Chelsea in the Community Shield, and De Jong believes they need to get rid of it.
"It's [falling behind] a bad habit and I don't know what is causing it. We have to sort out some small details and keep improving because it's not going to be easy this season," The Daily Mirror quoted De Jong, as saying.
"Wherever we go people are going to want to beat the champions. So we have to stand tall with each other, improve and show we are up for the test wherever we go. There are enough qualities in the squad to improve," he added.
City were rescued from defeat against Liverpool when Carlos Tevez capitalized on a bad pass from defender Martin Skrtel to record his 100th strike in English football, his third goal in three games this season. (ANI)
