Government extends ban on import of milk, milk products from China

New Delhi, Aug 22 (ANI): The Government has extended the ban on import of milk and milk products from China.

In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has recommended the extension of the ban till June 2013 or until further orders. The notification for ban was issued last month.

The banned milk products include chocolate, chocolate products, candies, confectionery, food preparations with milk or milk solids as ingredient. (ANI)
