Washington, Aug. 22 (ANI): President Barack Obama maintains a four-point lead over Mitt Romney in the race for the White House, after the Republican presidential contender selected his vice presidential running mate, and just days before the political conventions kick off, according to a new poll.
The new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll shows that almost 48 percent Americans support the democratic ticket featuring Obama and Vice President Joe Biden.
The poll showed that almost 44 percent Americans preferred to vote for the Republican ticket featuring Romney and his running mate Paul Ryan, politico reports.
The poll suggests that these numbers are only slightly changed from July, when Obama led Romney by six points in the survey, 49 percent to 43 percent, which suggesting a minimal bounce for Romney (if at all) after this month's Ryan pick, the report added. (ANI)
