Ten prisoners had escaped Monday afternoon from a sub-jail in Bhim town in the district, some 300 km from Jaipur.
"There were 20 prisoners, undertrial as well as convicts, lodged in the jail. The guards were shifting these prisoners to the barracks from the outside area in the prison premises when 10 of the prisoners suddenly attacked the guards, overpowered them and escaped," said the officer.
