I'm a reluctant sex symbol, says Victoria Pendleton

London, August 17 (ANI): British cycling champ Victoria Pendleton, who is known well for her glamorous looks, has laughed off the suggestion that she is a sex symbol.

UK's most successful female Olympian, who added gold and silver to her haul in the London Games, has become an instant pin-up among her army of fans who refer to her simply as 'Queen Vic'.

"I'd never see myself as that (a pin-up) - that is very funny," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

Pendleton, who is planning to marry sports scientist Scott Gardner, has revealed that she is now trying out many wedding dresses these days.

"I'm looking forward to planning our wedding - and trying on lots of dresses," she said.

"I really need a holiday too and I'm planning to go with Scott towards the end of the year. Scott is Australian and we want to see his family when we're there. We want to be there over Christmas time," she added. (ANI)
