Imran Khan's PTI against military operation in N Waziristan

Karachi, Thu, 16 Aug 2012 ANI

Karachi, Aug 16 (ANI): Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has opposed the launching of a military operation in North Waziristan.

Khan said that from the very first day, the PTI was against undertaking military operations in North Waziristan, reports The Dawn.

Earlier, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) had warned the Army against launching any operation against militants in North Waziristan, saying it might prove counter-productive and result in further increase in terrorism.

"Launching a new offensive in Tribal Areas will surely ignite a fresh wave of unrest, extremism and terrorism," the Daily Times quoted Opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali, as saying. (ANI)
