Karachi, Aug 14 (ANI): Leaders of the Awami Jamhoori Party (AJP) have accused the ruling government of failing to provide security to Hindu families residing in upper Sindh, compelling them to leave the country in large numbers.
"It is saddening and hurting for the people of Sindh to see that on the eve of the August 14, minorities do not live with a feeling of security in Pakistan," the Daily Times quoted the leaders, as saying in a party statement.
"In times when even advanced nations are actively alluring global talent, the most peaceful, law abiding, hardworking, highly skilled and entrepreneurial native children of Sindh are being forced to leave their motherland just because they happen to be part of a very successful but defenseless community," said AJP president Abrar Kazi.
"Sindhi Hindus are entrepreneur class of the province and if they leave, Sindh will suffer huge economic loss and the development of province will suffer a setback," the party observed.
The AJP called upon the government and political forces to come forward, support and rally behind the Hindus. (ANI)
