China blames 'bigger chests and heads' of Americans for relegation at London Games

London, Aug 14(ANI): The United States team, which won 104 medals at the London Games, was able to comprehensively beat Team China, which won 88 medals, because of their tough physique.

According to the mouthpiece of the Communist government in China, the People's Daily, pronounced that the Chinese shouldn't have competed with United States because they have bigger chests and heads.

According to the Christian Science Monitor, this type of coverage a day after the London Olympics closing ceremonies failed to mention what the world saw throughout much of the Games.

China was leading the U.S. early in the Games in what would have been a first ever blowout for the country fixed on besting the world's best in every department, but it lost that lead in later matches.

This particular detail, however, appeared to be lost on the country's official media, and instead, hints of angst show in stories such as the one comparing athlete physiques.

The U.S. got 46 gold medals compared with China's 38. (ANI)
