Melbourne named 'most liveable' city in world for second year in row

New Delhi, Aug 14 (ANI): Melbourne and three other capital cities of Australia have been named among the world's most liveable cities in the world.

According to the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Liveability Survey, Melbourne is the world's most liveable city with 97.5 liveability score followed by Vienna, Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary.

The survey's editor, Jon Copestake, said that just 1.6 percentage points separated the five Aussie cities surveyed.

Melbourne and Vienna led in infrastructure with '100' rating, while Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary were rated at 92.9, 89.3 and 96.4 respectively.

Sydney, Adelaide, Helsinki, Perth and Auckland (New Zealand) were the remaining 'most liveable cities' according to the survey.

The survey showed that 'culture and environment' was rated highest in Auckland with 97 and lowest in Perth with 88.7. (ANI)
