Terror alert for railway police in Karnataka

Bangalore, Aug 13 (IANS) Police in Karnataka have been alerted about possible terror attacks on trains operating between Bangalore and Mysore, an official said Monday.

Deputy Inspector General of Police B. Srikantappa said "intelligence inputs" had been received from Delhi about some groups in Mysore planning to explode bombs on trains.

"We are on alert," he said. A distance of 130 km separates Bangalore and Mysore.
