Advani bows out in Gloucester snooker meet

Gloucester (England), Aug 12 (IANS) India's Pankaj Advani went down 0-4 to Alan McManus, a former top-10 player, in the pre-quarter-finals of the UK PTC-2 snooker tournament here Saturday.

Advani, the 27-year old from Bangalore, earlier won three rounds before running into McManus who, however, went on to lose 1-4 to Stephen Maguire, provisionally ranked sixth in the World.
