Pleasant morning in Delhi, rains likely

New Delhi, Aug 11 (IANS) It was pleasant Saturday in the national capital with the minimum temperature a notch above the season's average at 27.8 degrees Celsius. The met office has forecast rains.

"Generally, the sky will be cloudy with thundershowers. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 80 percent.

The city had not received any rain since Friday, said the official.

Friday's maximum and minimum temperatures were a notch above the average at 34.1 degrees Celsius and 26.6 degrees Celsius.
