Cloudy day, rains likely in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 9 (IANS) A cloudy day with rains lies in store for the national capital Friday, met officials said.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around the 34 degrees Celsius mark while the minimum temperature Friday morning was recorded at 26.6 degrees Celsius.

A total of 0.2 mm of rain was recorded at the India Meteorological Department's Safdarjung station since Thursday while the Palam station recorded 3.5 mm of rain.

The maximum temperature Thursday was two notches below average at 31.7 degrees Celsius.
