Patna/New Delhi, Aug 9 (ANI): Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has said yoga guru Baba Ramdev has the right to voice his opinion within the country's democratic set up.
Nitish said the yoga guru has been proactive in raising several issues to the fore, and added that he even has the right to organise a campaign.
"Everyone in the country within the democratic set up has the right to voice their opinion on an issue or organise a campaign about the same. Baba Ramdev also has the right to do so and I appreciate his initiative. He has always been proactive in raising this issue," he told mediapersons in Patna on Wednesday.
Baba Ramdev today began his agitation against black money and corruption at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.
Baba Ramdev has termed his agitation as a people's movement, saying his fight is for the common man of this country.
"My fight is for the common man of this country. I have gone through the pains of poverty and deprivation. This agitation is decisive. I want the people to undergo the same suffering that I went through," said Baba Ramdev.
"The country is reeling through tremendous pressure. It is up to all of us to save the nation The All signs are pointing towards success of this agitation," he added.
Scores of supporters of the yoga guru have gathered at the Ramlila Maidan to support the cause.
Baba Ramdev had earlier on Wednesday said that he has no political ambitions, and added that his main mission is to save the country by bringing back black money stashed in safe havens abroad.
Baba Ramdev, who has so far been at loggerheads with the ruling UPA Government, is expected to put forward various issues during his indefinite agitation such as making the CBI independent and the Lokpal Bill. (ANI)
