Olympic athletics: Grenada's James coasts to 400m gold

London, Aug 7 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Kirani James of island country Grenada eased to the men's Olympic 400 metres title Monday.

James posted a national record 43.94 for gold, coasting home a full half-second ahead of Luguelin Santos of the Dominican Republic, who took silver.

Trinidad's Lalonde Gordon took the bronze in 44.52.
