Rain likely in Delhi

New Delhi, Aug 4 (IANS) It was a breezy morning for the capital Saturday with the minimum temperature settling a notch above the average for the season at 27.5 degrees Celsius. The weather office has forecast light showers later in the day.

"Sky is likely to remain generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain are possible later in the day," said an official from India Meteorological Department (IMD).

"The maximum temperature would stay around 35 degrees Celsius," added the official.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 79 percent.

Friday's maximum temperature shot up to three notches above at 36.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled two notches above average at 28.2 degrees Celsius.
