World's most expensive nail polish comes with $250k price tag
London, August 4 (ANI): A Los Angeles based luxury jeweller has revealed the most expensive nail polish in the world.
Containing 267-carats of black diamonds, the tiny bottle of varnish, by Azature, has been priced at 250,000 dollars.
Only one bottle will be produced, however, budget 0.5oz versions of the ritzy design, that each contain a single black diamond, will go on sale later this month.
Priced at more reasonable 25 dollars per diamond-shaped bottle, It will be stocked in Fred Segal stores throughout Los Angeles.
According to the statement released by the company, the one-off product has been targeted at the 'one-percenters'.
The budget version will be available in black and brushes on with a glittery sheen.
Azature, the designer behind the brand, said that the black diamond is the 'ultimate fine jewel'.
"One day I thought, "why not showcase this style on nails?" So I developed a Black Diamond Nail Polish with the same attention and quality as my jewelry in order to preserve the elegance of the black diamond," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
It is not the first time a nail polish has been sold for such an inflated cost. (ANI)
