Olympic tennis: Sharapova in women's singles final

London, Aug 3 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Russia's Maria Sharapova ousted Maria Kirilenko in straight sets in an all-Russian semifinal at the Olympic tennis tournament here Friday.

Sharapova swept past Kirilenko 6-3, 6-2, her aggressive style of playing racking up many more winners than Kirilenko, but also far more mistakes at the All England Club.

Sharapova's opponent in the final will be either top seed Victoria Azarenka or fourth seed Serena Williams.

Kirilenko will play the loser of that match for the bronze medal.
