Sultry Friday in Delhi, no rain again

New Delhi, Aug 3 (IANS) Delhi residents saw a sultry Friday with rain once again eluding the capital and both maximum and minimum temperatures settling above average.

The maximum temperature Friday shot up to three notches above at 36.6 degrees adding much to the discomfort, while the minimum temperature settled at 28.2 degrees, two notches above average and humidity wavered between a high and low of 76 and 50 percent.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rains Saturday.

"The sky will be cloudy and rain may occur Saturday," said an IMD official.

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 35 and 37 degrees.
