Agra, Aug 3 (IANS) Three people were killed and four others seriously injured when a Qualis carrying them hit a road divider early Friday morning near Akbar's tomb Sikandra on the Delhi-Agra highway.
A speeding truck from the opposite direction crashed into the Qualis that was carrying passengers from Delhi to Morena in Madhya Pradesh, Sikandra police station officials said.
The driver of the Qualis appeared to have lost control and hit the road divider where a labourer was sleeping. It then hit a pole and turned turtle. A truck coming from Agra failed to brake in time and crashed into the Qualis.
The victims were transported to a nearby nursing home where doctors declared three of them dead. The condition of three of the four injured is stated to be critical.
