Washington, Aug (ANI): U.S. Congressman Dana Rohrabacher has written to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, asking her to provide information related to the case of a missing Baloch, Zakir Majeed.

Majeed, the vice chairman of the Baloch Students Organisation, was abducted on June 2009, reports the Daily Times.

Earlier this year, Rohrabacher raised the case of British citizen Noordin Mengal, who was denied entry to the U.S. by the Department of Homeland Security.

At the time, Rohrabacher had written to the then secretary that the U.S. should bring an "end to its partnership with the ISI in repressing the Baloch people, and allow eligible Baloch leaders to come to the U.S.... the people of Balochistan are not the enemy of the U.S., they are our allies in the region".

Rohrabacher, together with Representative Steve King and Rep Louie Gohmert, introduced legislation on February 17, expressing the sense of Congress that the Baloch had a "right to self-determination and to their own sovereign country". (ANI)
